FruityLlama | I have a 7 degree sextile with someone in the right signs aswell, but I know that's too wide, so how important do you think it is? Also, which do you think is more important- Moon-Moon or Moon-ASC? Thanks |
Randall | This belongs in the new Forum. Moving to Interpersonal Astrology. |
LeeLoo2014 | Do you have Sun/Moon contacts? the degree is too wide for a sextile IMO. Sun on ASC might be even more powerful than a Moon/Moon contact, depending on the rest of the chart. Because sometimes Moon/ASC is a sign of friendship, not necessarily romance. |
FruityLlama | Yeah, a square and a sextile between sun and moon- in tight orbs too |
LeeLoo2014 | Well, then, that's all you need The Moons will be compatible energetically. Do you have Venus Mars aspects as well? |
FruityLlama | Awesome And yes, there's a very tight sesquisquare between Venus and Mars (the symbol is like a box within upside down L shape- I dont remember if thats a sesquisquare or quadrate?) |
LeeLoo2014 | That would be a quincunx, 150 deg. |
foxxyxo | i think moon synastries are way more important especially for relationships then ASC then sun. relationships involve lottttts of emotions so your moon ovbiously is going to stand out. AsC will determine if your attraction will increase because personally if i dont like how someone handles situations then there attraction factor goes badunkkkkkkkkkk...best relationships are those you can feel totally yourself around moon is comfort... i had moon trine moon with a guy and we just felt so connected like you can spend all day everyday with them and barely get bored. its just endless fun. evn doing the simplest tasks, as long as your with them its great my moon conjuncted his ASC so i felt even more connected to him because i could see apart of me in him. i once loved him |
Aries23Degrees | Moon-Moon are nice. Even the quincunx aspect can make a world of difference in being able to relate. But it also helps if there are other placements that compliment each other. I know a couple that were together for a while that had the following placement:
****A***********************B***** Sun Taurus***************Sun Gemini Moon Libra***************Moon Pisces Mercury Taurus***********Mercury Gemini Venus Gemini*************Venus Taurus Mars Pisces***************Mars Libra Can u see the many cross conjunctions? Even though they had a challenging Moon-Moon quincux, the other planets helped create harmony; B's Venus conjunct A's Sun A's Venus conjunct B's Sun B's Mars conjunct A's Moon A's Moon conjunct B's Mars A's Mercury conjunct B's Venus B's Mercury conjunct A's Venus They were together for about 7 years. But I think A experienced concurrent Saturn returns and it got too much for him. The first Saturn return(Libra) challenged A's Moon and then the second(Scorpio) opposed his Sun: He was no longer invested in the relationship and initiated the break-up. |
FruityLlama | Thanks Foxxy and Aries for your replies! So, how about very wide aspects or just having moons in complimentary signs? In this particular synastry, one moon is 4 degrees Taurus and the other is about 11 degrees Cancer. |
IndigoDirae | As per my basic lunar analysis in synastry approach, I feel that knowing how both MOONs are operating is a basic key to beginning a more holistic understanding. |

A very wide aspect may mean that the "understanding" may not be spontaneous. You may enjoy getting to know each other, though, as Taurus and Cancer are sextile. But the other advantage could also be that you can "allow" each other to be yourself. Sometimes having close aspects between the Moon signs(orb of 3 Degrees or less) mean that you two are so "nsync" that when one's mood changes, the other is affected (spontaneously). I've noticed that this happens even when the Moon signs are inconjunct or semi-sextile. Are you the Taurus Moon? |
FruityLlama | Oh wow, that does make sense- I hadnt thoight of that before and yeah, im the taurus moon |

Enjoy it coz Cancer and Taurus do just fine together. Very well indeed. |
FruityLlama | Brill, thank you so much for your explanation! |
next to neptune | do you guys think that a 11 degree conjunction would work in a synastry, if both people share cancer ascendant? We both have cancer ascendant and pisces moon in the 10th house We also have moon trine ascendant and moon square ascendant |
